Christine von Weizsäcker met with Dr. Renate Künast, Former Green Agriculture Minister, to discuss the Precautionary Principle versus the newly postulated “Innovation Principle”, Geoengineering and new genetic engineering techniques.

Christine von Weizsäcker participated it a workshop on the regulation of geoengineering organized by the German Federal Environment Office (Umweltbundesamt, UBA) in Berlin.

Christine von Weizsäcker and Ricarda Steinbrecher presented during a side event organized by ETC Group, Federation of German Scientists, Econexus, Ecoropa, GYBN and the Heinrich Boell Foundation. The publication “The Big Bad Fix. The Case against Climate Geoengineering” was also launched during this event.

Christine von Weizsäcker participated in the meeting of the VDW expert group on „Erdgestaltung“ (including geoengineering).

Christine von Weizsäcker participated at the Geoengineering Strategy Workshop, organized by Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and ETC-Group with a presentation on “Dealing with New Technologies“.

Christine von Weizsäcker participated in the Second Meeting of the VDW expert group on „Erdgestaltung“ (including geoengineering), organised by Vereinigung Deutscher Wissenschaftler (VDW) and Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS).
